To increase our knowledge of quilting, we invite local and national quilters to lecture and teach at our monthly meetings. At other meetings we may work on charitable projects. We invite anyone interested, to attend our meetings as a guest. If the meeting includes a speaker there is a $5.00 guest fee.
Directions: From 695 North: Take Exit 8 Nursery Rd. At bottom of ramp take a left turn onto Hammonds Ferry Lane. Continue through intersection and at next traffic light turn left onto Maple Rd. Turn left onto Medora Rd (right after church) Church will be on your left. Enter at door closest to the road. From 695 South: Take Exit 6 Route 648. Turn left and get in right lane. Turn right onto Maple Rd (at light). Continue through next intersection. Turn right onto Medora Rd. Church will be on your left. Enter door that is closest to the street Saturday at the Library On the Saturday after our regular meeting, we meet at the Linthicum library for informal classes, charity work or just a chance to work without interruptions. The room is ours from 9AM until 4:30PM. The Linthicum Library is located at the corner of Hammonds Ferry and Shipley Roads. History The Friendship Quilters Guild evolved from the Eternal Quilters Guild in 1980 as an evening alternative for its members. Our first president was Mary Martin. Those first meetings were held at the Linthicum Library. As the membership grew, the meeting was moved to St. John’s Lutheran Church. |
